Annual regulatory notice

Financial reports*

Under securities law, you are entitled to receive annual and semi-annual fund reports and management reports of fund performance (MRFPs)* for all of the funds you hold. These reports are not the same as your client account statements, which are sent to you automatically.

We have on file your previous instructions regarding delivery of fund reports and MRFPs (including whether you want to receive them or not). We will continue to follow those instructions for all of the Fidelity Funds you hold, including any new funds you purchase. Your instructions will remain on file until we receive new instructions from you. You can change your preferences by calling 1-800-263-4077. Please note that fund reports and MRFPs are available online and that you can obtain copies at any time at www.fidelity.ca or www.sedarplus.ca.

Systematic plan notice requirement

When you enrol in a Fidelity pre-authorized chequing plan or a systematic exchange program (“systematic plans”) through your dealer, you will receive the Fund Facts document (the “Fund Facts”) for the fund with your first systematic purchase or exchange. It will not be sent to you for future systematic purchases or exchanges, or in the case of a first purchase upon the change of your systematic instructions from Series A, T5 or T8 securities of a fund to Series B, S5 or S8 securities of the same fund, unless requested at the time of your first purchase or exchange, or change of your systematic instructions. You may request a copy of the most recent Fund Facts at no cost at any time by: (i) calling us at 1-800-263-4077; (ii) sending us a request by mail; (iii) sending us an email at FICCustService@fidelity.ca or Servicelaclientle@fidelity.ca; or (iv) asking your financial advisor. You can also find the Fund Facts on our website at www.fidelity.ca or www.sedarplus.ca.

Automatic switching and rebalancing programs

When you enrol in Fidelity’s ClearPlan® Custom Fund or Custom Portfolio service (the “rebalancing programs”) or change the funds selected, or when you purchase Series F, F5, B, S5 or S8 securities of a fund, as the case may be, you will receive the Fund Facts for the fund with your first purchase. It will not be sent to you for subsequent purchases made under the rebalancing programs.

When you purchase Series A, T5 or T8 securities of a fund under a deferred sales charge or low-load purchase option, you will be automatically switched into Series B, S5 or S8 securities, respectively, of that fund one year after your redemption fee schedule expires. However, you will not receive the Fund Facts at the time of the automatic switch into Series B, S5 or S8. Series B, S5, or S8 securities have lower fees than Series A, T5 or T8 securities.

You may request a copy of the most recent Fund Facts for the relevant series at no cost at any time by: (i) calling us at 1-800-263-4077; (ii) sending us a request by mail; (iii) sending us an email at FICCustService@fidelity.ca or Servicelaclientle@fidelity.ca; or (iv) asking your financial advisor. You can also find the Fund Facts on our website at www.fidelity.ca or at www.sedarplus.ca

You will not have the right to withdraw from an agreement of purchase and sale in respect of a purchase made pursuant to an automatic switch or a subsequent purchase made under the rebalancing programs, but you will have the right of action for damages or rescission in the event any Fund Facts or document incorporated by reference into a simplified prospectus for the relevant series of securities contains a misrepresentation, whether or not you request the Fund Facts.

Redemption of securities

Securities laws require Fidelity to provide you annually with information about redeeming your mutual fund securities. You can redeem units of your funds at any time.

Redemption requests should be made to your financial advisor or dealer in writing, with a signature guarantee if the value is over $100,000. Signature guarantees are available from any of the following: your financial advisor, dealer, financial planner, Canadian chartered bank or trust company. If the securities are registered in another name (a dealer or a third party), your financial advisor must forward your completed request to the dealer or third party, who must then submit it to Fidelity on the same day it is received from you, in accordance with Fidelity’s policies and procedures.

If Fidelity receives your redemption request before the end of the business day (4:00 p.m. Eastern Time), we will process it that day. If the request is received after this time, we will process it the next business day. The proceeds of your redemption will be forwarded to you within three business days of the day the units are redeemed. Payment will be made to you either by cheque or electronically to your bank account if you provide the necessary information.

If the securities are registered in another name (a dealer or a third party), you must make arrangements with that party to redeem the units.

If you require further assistance, please contact your financial advisor or call the Fidelity Client Relations department at 1-800-263-4077, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. ET.

Alternative formats of these documents are available upon request by calling Fidelity Customer Service or sending us a message at FICCustService@fidelity.ca.
