Hi everyone, I'm Andrei Bruno, Director of Exchange

[00:00:09.580]

Traded Funds here at Fidelity Investments Canada.

[00:00:12.179]

I'm just here to share some updates on what we're seeing

[00:00:14.339]

in the ETF market, and maybe some trends that we expect

[00:00:16.679]

to see here in 2026.

[00:00:19.320]

So if we take a look at 2025,

[00:00:21.559]

we had a record year in terms of inflows

[00:00:23.800]

for the ETF market here in Canada,

[00:00:26.320]

and we've continued to see that trend here in

[00:00:28.559]

2026, with January bringing

[00:00:30.679]

in around 20 billion

[00:00:32.899]

of net new flows into the Canadian

[00:00:35.140]

ETF market, which is a monthly

[00:00:37.539]

record of all time for ETF

[00:00:40.000]

inflows for a single month.

[00:00:42.539]

Now, when we get down to the nuts and bolts there, we're seeing

[00:00:44.619]

a lot of interest into equity ETFs,

[00:00:47.340]

with over 14 billion flowing into

[00:00:49.579]

equity ETFs here in Canada,

[00:00:51.820]

with the majority going into,

[00:00:54.439]

just over half going into international

[00:00:56.600]

equity ETFs. So it's a trend that we

[00:00:58.619]

saw last year, and it's a trend we're continuing

[00:01:01.100]

to see at the start of 2026

[00:01:03.200]

here. Investors are flocking

[00:01:05.329]

to more international options,

[00:01:07.400]

potentially diversifying a little bit away

[00:01:09.620]

from those U.S. large cap tech

[00:01:11.659]

names that everyone's been talking about for the last

[00:01:14.180]

several years. Now, another notable

[00:01:16.400]

trend that we're seeing is we saw large inflows into

[00:01:18.480]

multi-asset equity ETFs, with over

[00:01:20.799]

2 billion dollars flowing into that

[00:01:23.090]

particular space of the market, which is

[00:01:25.219]

very interesting to tie it back to our All-in-One

[00:01:27.280]

lineup where we do have

[00:01:28.900]

an offering in that space, our Fidelity All-Equity

[00:01:31.599]

ETF, which provides investors global

[00:01:33.930]

exposure through a fund-to-fund

[00:01:36.359]

structure, a one-ticket solution for those investors

[00:01:38.980]

looking to get global equity market

[00:01:41.099]

exposure. Another trend that we're

[00:01:43.219]

seeing continue into 2026 in the ETF

[00:01:45.459]

market is a number of new products

[00:01:47.540]

coming to market. Last year in 2025,

[00:01:50.579]

we saw almost one ETF per day

[00:01:53.250]

net new come to market, and we've seen

[00:01:55.810]

plenty of that momentum continue in 2026.

[00:01:58.780]

Particularly, we have been seeing some more yield-type

[00:02:01.310]

products come to market in the ETF space.

[00:02:03.700]

To draw comparison to our Fidelity lineup, we

[00:02:05.739]

do offer our Fidelity Equity Premium Yield ETF,

[00:02:08.379]

which is our covered call, high

[00:02:10.419]

distribution-like product,

[00:02:12.680]

providing investors with equity market

[00:02:14.758]

exposures. So going into 2026,

[00:02:17.360]

a lot happening in markets, so it'll

[00:02:19.460]

surely keep our PMs on our toes.

[00:02:21.800]

Just remember folks, diversification is your

[00:02:23.939]

friend, and we look forward to

[00:02:26.240]

a happy 2026.
