Michael  Widrig

Corporate Biography

Michael Widrig is a vice-president and portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments.

Michael joined Fidelity in 1990 as a tax-exempt credit analyst in the Fixed-Income Group, where he supported the U.S. municipal money market funds through analysis of municipal issuers and various structured securities. Over the years Michael has managed a number of mandates for U.S. investors. Michael assumed responsibility for his current Canadian mandates in 2008.

Before joining Fidelity, Michael was a financial analyst at United Parcel Service in London, U.K., where he was responsible for evaluating potential European acquisition targets. He began his career as a staff consultant at Accenture in Kansas City, working on information systems projects.

Michael received a BSc in business administration from Kansas State University in 1985 and an MBA from the Columbia Business School in 1989. Michael is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
