Martha Wang is a portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments. Martha manages Fidelity China Fund, for Canadian investors. In addition, she is responsible for Fidelity's China equity product franchise.
Martha joined Fidelity in 2005 as a dedicated China equity research analyst, responsible for covering the consumer and banking industries.
Before coming to Fidelity, Martha provided portfolio manager assistance at First State Investments Limited and HSBC Asset Management. She joined HSBC Asset Management in Shanghai in 1999 as a chief representative, providing proprietary research on Chinese companies. From 2002 to 2005, Martha was the senior investment analyst at First State Investments (Hong Kong), responsible for evaluating Chinese securities and producing research reports for China and regional portfolios. With almost fifteen years of experience covering the major Chinese industries, Martha is a China specialist.
Born and raised in the People's Republic of China, Martha received a BA in economics from Fudan University in Shanghai. She is a Chinese public accountant and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
