Jurrien Timmer is Director of Global Macro for Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMRCo), the investment advisor for Fidelity’s family of mutual funds.
Jurrien has more than two decades of experience in the investment world and currently serves as portfolio co-manager of Fidelity Tactical Strategies Fund. He also plays a key role in Fidelity’s Global Asset Allocation group, where he specializes in asset allocation. Jurrien joined Fidelity in 1995 as a technical research analyst. In 1998, he became the Market Strategist at FMRCo, and became responsible for Fidelity’s Chart Room content. Jurrien joined the Asset Allocation group in September 2005. He began managing Fidelity Dynamic Strategies Fund, available to U.S. investors, in November 2007. As an investment strategist and portfolio manager, he is concerned with macroeconomic, technical and quantitative disciplines, and his research is widely used by Fidelity’s portfolio managers and analysts. In addition to this internal role, he is also a spokesman on investment matters to Fidelity’s clients and associates.
Jurrien received a BSc in finance from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
