Ciaran J. O'Neill

Corporate Biography

Ciaran O'Neill is a portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments. Ciaran manages Fidelity American Value Fund, for Canadian investors, as well as several value strategies for U.S. investors.

Ciaran joined Fidelity in 1995 as an analyst. In that role, he was responsible for developing strategies to identify undervalued equities with significant potential for price appreciation. Ciaran has managed or co-managed funds at Fidelity since 2001, including Fidelity Structured Large Cap Value Fund and Fidelity Structured Mid Cap Value Fund. Most recently, he has headed up the value portfolios for Fidelity's Institutional Equity Group.

Before coming to Fidelity, Ciaran was an economic researcher at ESRI in Dublin, Ireland, from 1991 to 1993.

Ciaran received a BA in economics in 1991, graduating summa cum laude, and a master's degree in economics in 1993, from Trinity College Dublin. He received an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management in 1995. In 1999, Reuters rated Ciaran as one of the top five European telecommunications analysts.
