Don Newman is a portfolio manager for Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments company. Don manages the Fidelity Dividend Plus Fund, as well as equity portions of Fidelity Dividend Fund, Fidelity Income Allocation Fund‡, Fidelity Monthly Income Fund, Fidelity Canadian Asset Allocation Fund, and is a member of the Canadian Asset Allocation Team.
Don joined Fidelity in 2003 as a research analyst with Team Canada, covering insurance. He has also covered Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), diversified financials, integrated oil and gas, food and drug retailing and food, beverage and tobacco companies. Before working at Fidelity, Don spent four years in the global investment research department at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York.
Don received a BCom from Queen’s University in 1999. He also received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2002.
