Brian  Miron

Corporate Biography

Brian Miron is a portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments in the Fixed Income Division of Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMRCo), the investment arm of Fidelity Investments.

Brian manages Fidelity Canadian Bond Fund, Fidelity Corporate Bond Fund and Fidelity Canadian Short Term Bond Fund. His current responsibilities also include the fixed-income subportfolios for Fidelity Canadian Asset Allocation Fund, Fidelity Canadian Bond Fund, Fidelity Dividend Fund, Fidelity Income Allocation Fund and Fidelity Monthly Income Fund.

Brian joined Fidelity in 2000 as a research analyst in the Fixed-Income Group. In this role, he covered a variety of sectors, including autos, sovereigns, technology, manufacturing, aerospace and defence, and consumer products, later shifting to broader asset allocation and portfolio strategy analysis. From 2000 to 2005, Brian was a research analyst on Canadian fixed-income products. From 2005 to 2007, as an asset allocation analyst, he focused on broader asset allocation and portfolio strategy analysis.

Before joining Fidelity in 2000, Brian was a vice-president at RBC Dominion Securities in Toronto. In that role, he created and led the firm’s corporate debt research effort in Canada and was ranked #1 Canadian Corporate Debt Analyst by the Brendan Wood survey for two consecutive years. Brian served as a senior credit analyst for Dominion Bond Rating Service from 1992 to 1996, and from 1990 to 1992, he was an economist in the Finance Branch of Ontario’s Ministry of Municipal Affairs.

Brian received a BCom in finance in 1989 and an MA in economics in 1990, both from the University of Toronto. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. 

Fidelity Income Allocation Fund was previously known as Fidelity Monthly High Income Fund.
