Andrew  Marchese

Corporate Biography

Andrew Marchese is a chief investment officer and a portfolio manager at Fidelity Investments. In this role, Andrew leads a team of portfolio managers and equity research professionals responsible for managing a number of mutual funds and institutional investment strategies, primarily for the Canadian market.

Andrew’s portfolio management responsibilities include Fidelity Canadian Disciplined Equity® Fund, Fidelity Concentrated Canadian Equity Private Pool and Fidelity Canadian Equity Private Pool. Andrew also manages  Fidelity Canadian Systematic Equity Institutional and Fidelity Canadian Core Equity Institutional investment strategies for institutional clients.

Andrew joined Fidelity in 1998 as an equity research associate and was promoted to equity research analyst in 2000. During his research tenure, he covered the financials, consumer discretionary, materials, technology and health care sectors. During this time, Andrew also managed the same sectors for Fidelity Canadian Disciplined Equity Fund. In 2005, Andrew was promoted as portfolio manager of Fidelity Canadian Systematic Equity Institutional.

Andrew earned a BSc in pharmacy from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
