Adam Kutas is a portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments and manages Fidelity Latin America Fund, offered by Fidelity Investments Canada ULC.
Adam joined FIC in 1996 as a mutual fund analyst. He then managed Fidelity’s fund analysis and research group from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, Adam moved to Boston and joined the Canadian equity research team. During this time, he followed Canadian and U.S. equity securities across a variety of sectors, and managed the respective portions of Fidelity Canadian Disciplined Equity® Fund and Fidelity RSP funds. In 2004, Adam joined the Latin America research team, following the Latin American banking, aerospace, energy, mining, paper, steel, telecom, industrial and transportation industries. He also co-managed Fidelity Latin America Fund from 2005 to 2006. He began working in the Fidelity London office in January 2007 and started an EMEA pilot fund. Adam began managing Fidelity Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa Fund in May 2008 and Fidelity Latin America Fund in February 2009.
Before joining Fidelity, Adam was an analyst for BZW Investment Management in Hong Kong. In 1994, he was a research analyst for Richmont Asia Pacific Ltd. in Hong Kong. From 1992 to 1993, Adam was a stock expediter in the Canadian equity clearing group for RBC Dominion Securities in Toronto.
Adam received an honours BA in economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1992. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Adam received the Fidelity High Achiever Award for stock-picking excellence in 2003, 2004 and 2006. He has been a volunteer for The Michael J. Fox Foundation since 2004.
