Ian Baker is Portfolio Manager, and Vice President of Derivatives and Risk Management at Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments company. Ian manages Fidelity Canadian Bond Capital Yield Fund.
Ian most recently served as vice-president and portfolio manager at Wellington Management Company in Boston, Massachusetts. There he focused on derivative-based portfolios and strategies as well as all related infrastructure. He facilitated derivative trade execution while collaborating with portfolio managers, analysts, and traders on idea generation and product development.
Ian has more than 20 years experience in the investment industry including extensive experience developing back, middle, and front office platforms to assure the integrity of all trading activity gained during tenures at Schooner Asset Management, Scudder Kemper Investments, and The
Boston Company.
Ian earned a BA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin and a MS in Finance from Boston College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
